NEW DELHI (PTI): An Air India aircraft bound for Frankfurt made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International airport here following a bomb threat. Airport sources said the authorities received an anonymous call claiming that a bomb had been planted in flight number AI 143. The aircraft which was already in flight, was ordered to return.
The aircraft was taken to a remote bay as ambulances, fire brigade and bomb disposal squads stood by. All passengers and crew members were evacuated as a thorough search was continuing, sources said.
