NEW DELHI-A suicide squad is being planned by Kashmir militants for carrying out strikes against well-guarded and difficult targets.

According to intelligence reports, Ikhwan-ul-Muslamin, a die-hard fundamentalist outfit, has formed a group consisting of highly motivated youth for carrying out attacks. All out 50 such youth are reported to be in Srinagar. Further recruitments are on, sources said.

Information recently received by Home Ministry has pointed out a closing of ranks by militant outfits is Kashmir in a bid to consolidate their movement, Alongside, they have also launched a campaign to build up anti-India fervor in the valley and amass arms and set up special squads for carrying out strikes.

The militants are reportedly planning to step up attacks, targeting government offices and establishments and senior officials, New armaments like remote control devices have been added to their arsenal, intelligence reports said.

According to intelligence reports, the militants have been using small children who serve tea and refreshments to security men for gradually winning their confidence, At some opportune moment, an unsuspecting group is lured into a trap.

The militants also use this strategy to incite attacks on security forces, with the intention of inviting a crackdown in the locality while those behind the attack have already fled the area. Harried and frustrated security men look for suspects, rough up people and serve the militants cause of building up public anger.

Prodding them to this end are ideologues of the terrorist outfits, notable among them being four leaders one of them a Jamiat-E-Islamia leader and another from Peoples Conference who have formed a united forum for propaganda to whip up anti-national feelings. They were released recently after being kept in Delhi for a long period during which they were given special treatment to keep them from going over to the militants,

Following their release, these leaders went back to Kashmir and to their old ways. The latest in the propaganda campaign is the objective of running down India and its aura of strength by projecting its claim to power as hollow, its society degenerate, its people as weak and the system as corrupt. They urge the militant groups to unite against the common enemy; India.

While they go about this antinational campaign, the son of one of the leaders is reportedly running his business from Delhi, availing all facilities. He is also reported to have taken loans from banks against his property in Anantnag.

The JEI leader has been going to different places, addressing small meetings and gatherings in mosques, spreading anti-India propaganda, fanning rumors of atrocities on Muslims in the country and criticizing the concepts of democracy and secularism, Islam is projected as the only savior.

A Shia leader has been appealing to his community to support the militants movement, holding out the “carrot” of establishing an Islamic government in Kashmir.

Youth in the valley, fed since childhood on a diet of hate-India campaign and “Islamic” preaching’s, believe that, “liberation” is near as the “Golden Age” of Islam has arrived with resurgence of fundamentalism in several Islamic countries which they believe would sweep the world.
