NEW DELHI,(PTI):The opposition national Front-Left parties combine July 28 decided to back a consensus candidate from the scheduled caste community for the office of vice-president ship,
This decision was arrived at a meeting of leaders of the two fronts held at the residence of National Front leader V.P. Singh.
The meeting demanded that the prime minister make a formal offer to the leaders of the combine so that the National Front and Left Parties could take a decision to this regard.
The spokesman for the combine said the two Fronts were not a verse to the candidature | of former minister K.R Narayana.
Meanwhile prime minister P.V Narasimha Rao, contacted on telephone N.T-Rama Rao, chairman of the National Front, and) sought his cooperation.
