WASHINGTON: The International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) is honoring Amnesty International and Congressman Dante Faseell, chairman of the foreign Affairs Committee of U.S. Congress at a reception on Capitol Hill. D.S.Gill, chairman of IHRO has especially come from India to give awards to these recipients. Dr.Rajwant Singh, President of IHRO North America branch said, “This program is being organized to bring law makers close to the issue and to let them know the state of affairs in Punjab as well as in Jammu and Kashmir. Invitations to the reception have been extended to all members of Congress , the media and to human rights activists.
This event has been organized by IHRO in co-operation with Congressman Vic Fazio, Dan Burton, Wally Herger, Floyd Flake, Bob Torricelli and Jim Moran who are the co-hosts of this event and who will be addressing the gathering.
IHRO will be releasing a book titled “Indo-U.S. shadow over Punjab” which is a compilation of various IHRO investigation reports and a narration of national and international events concerning human rights.
