SILIGURI, WEST BENGAL (PTI): At least 18 per Sons were reported killed following & major landslide caused by incessant rains in the hilly Darjcelitig district in west Bengal state on July 1, official sources said. Several houses were washed away in the badlyhit Lavda area where entire families are believed to have been buried under the debris, local police chief V.Mishra Said fearing that the toll would rise further. Road link between Darjeeling and Silguri towns was Cut off, The minister of state for urban development, Ashok Bhattacharya is camping in the area.
