NEW DELHI(PTI): Right Wing Bhartiya Janala Party (BJP)’s new president, L.K.Advani June 26 reconstituted the party’s 71 member national executive and 18 member office bearers making major changes in key portfolios and giving more representations to various sectors of the society.
According to a BJP press release, Krishan Lal Sharma would be the new general secretary, tipped to look after the key portfolio of party headquarters,
Krishan Lal Sharma, who was hitherto vice president of the party would be one of the five general secretaries now, During the previous two tenures of Advani as party president, Sharma was holding this portfolio.
Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Kalyan Singh and Karia Munda, M.P. would be the two new faces in the list of seven vice: presidents. Sunder Singh Bhandari would continue to be the senior most vice president.
Controversial general secretary, K.N, Govindacharya, has been retained in the same post.
