CHANDIGARH (PTI): Eleven: militants including five belonging to the Bhindranwale Tiger Force of Khalistan (BTFK) were among 35 persons killed in the North Indian state of Punjab.
In an encounter in Harike area in the border police district of Tarn Taran the security forces shot dead five top militants belonging to the BTFK outfit (Manochahal) .
Three of them were identified a8 the deputy chief of the out Sarwan Singh area commander of Patti region Gurdarshan Singh and area commander of “Terai region in Uttar Pradesh Sukhwant Singh. ll the three were wanted in hundreds of Killings in Punjab and Uttar Pardash and carried rewards on their heads.
A listed militant of the KCF (Wassan_ Singh Group) Charanjit Singh was killed in an encounter following a police aid ta Dera in village Dhandhoi in Batala district.
