MONTREAL: Estimated 250,000 people crammed Montreal’s Sher broke St. for the traditional parade of what is now called National Day. Quebec song was the theme of this year’s celebrations and each float  preceded by giant cloth and canvas Quebec birds  represented one of nine all times hits of Quebec song writes. Before the parade began, Premier Robert Bourossa told reporters al this annual National Day that the mood suggested nationalist tensions are subsiding. This year, Parti Quebecois leader Jacques Parizeay and Bloc Quebecois leader Lucien Bouchard were out in front, along with the heads of the three main labor federations.
