NEW DELHI,(PTI):The Press Council has censured two leading English dailies for their failure to verify facts before publishing a report on the alleged role of former union minister, P, Shiv Shanker in the Cauvery waters dispute.
The Council did so while holding that the “Times of India’ and the ‘Hindustan Times’ “honored in breach the salutary norm of journalistic ethics of pre-publication verification” while carrying out she reports in July and August last YEAR.
