Glasgow: Sixty one year old Amrik Singh of Wilton Street, London ran a marathon along with rend Angus Nicholson (56) to False 10,000 pounds for a Glasgow Dispensary, The cash will be used to help two clinics run by the dispensary for treating Sick animals. Amrik Singh and Angus both of Kelvin side did the 26 mile grueling run on Sunday in answer to an SOS from the PDSA in the Evening Times. The charity Wanted runners to take part in the grueling event to boost funds. Ammnk Singh completed the run in three hours 36 minutes, Princess Alexandra acknowledging the brave efforts of the two pals who have been regular marathon runhers presented them with “thank you” trophies.
Now the pair has committed to run in next year’s event for the charity, they had also competed in last year’s New York marathon and have clocked up thousands of miles on the roads.
