CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Chief Minister, Beant Singh, plan to meet his Haryana counterpart, Bhajan Lal, shortly in a bid to clinch interstate territorial and river waters issues after his latest man oeuvre to get the city beautiful have failed to bear fruits. Beant Singh, it is reliably learned, had written a letter to the Prime Minister, P.V.Narasimha Rao, a few days ago inviting him to attend the function on February 25 at Jalandhar marking the completion of one year of his rule in Punjab and requesting him to announce the merger of Chandigarh with the state that day.
