CHANDIGARH: Six persons, including five militants, were killed in Punjab.
Security forces shot dead three unidentified militants near Ladian Kalan village in Ludhiana district.
A revolver a pistol, 6.5 kgs of explosive material and some rounds of ammunition were recovered from the slain militants.
In another encounter security forces shot dead a militant, identified as Kuldip Singh alias Keep a, near Sheron village in Majitha police district. A rifle and some rounds of ammunition were recovered from the encounter site.
In another encounter in the same police district security forces shot dead another militant identified as Sukhraj Singh alias laddi, a listed Babbar Khalsa militant, near Rajian village.
In yet another incident in the same police district, militants entered the house of one Bir Singh at Ghanshyam Pura village and opened fire, killing his daughter Sukhwinder Kaur and injuring him.
