BALTIMORE: The new president of the American Society of Newspaper Editors called on the industry Friday to create more diverse newsrooms by reaching out to women and minorities. “Let’s involve all talented Americans in this noble craft,” William A. Hilliard told about 500 ASNE members and their spouses at a luncheon on the final day of the organizations, 70th annual convention.
