AMRITSAR: Kanwar Singh president of the Akal Federation an underground militant outfit advised the militants not to depend on Pakistan because that country was no longer favorable to their cause.
Kanwar Singh who was in the forefront during the negotiations between the militant organizations and the Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar Kanwar Singh claimed to be present in all meetings held with Shekhar.
Talking to newsmen Kanwar Singh said that the Sikh youths current struggle against the Center was for securing “rights and justice” for the Sikhsby forming a sovereign Sikh state.
Kanwar Singh who spent some time in Pakistan now feel disenchanted with that country.
Kanwar Singh suggested that the militant organizations should indulge in an introspection exercise because the killing of Sikh youths in thousands for the cause of a separate country” had not leaded us to anywhere”.
The policy of killing innocent people like M.L. Manchanda should also be reviewed because persons like him do not have any say in the formulation of the electronic media policy he said.
