This is in reference to your article in Eastern Times of Feb.1992 on the Khwaza of Ajmer written by Yameen Zubairi. We strongly object the assertion in which Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, has been described as a follower of Khwaza. It seems that the author is unaware or not well-versed about Sikh religion and history. There is no historical evidence to prove that Guru Nanak ever met Baba Farid who was a follower of Khwaza. Then how could Guru
Nanak be considered a follower of Baba Farid? Guru Nanak was a prophet of Sikhism in his own right and revealed the Divine Word to the world. He is the expounder of a new philosophy and not a follower of any existing creed.
