COLOMBO: AL least 25 people were killed and over 12 others wounded when a powerful bomb exploded in a bus at the Eastern Ampara district on April 10 military officials said
The bus coming from Kalmunai also in the caste province was parked at the Ampara bus terminus when the blast occurred. The total number of passengers in the bus could not be known
A spokesman of the joint operations command of the Sri Lankan defence ministry said most of the bodies were tom to pieces.
Twelve of the wounded were in a serious condition at the Ampara general hospital.
