NEW YORK: United Nations Secretary General Boutros Ghali will hold high level talks with senior Asian leaders including Indian politicians on the fast changing world situation during his first official trip to Asia beginning from April 14.
The trip includes visits to India China and Thailand and an inspection of the UN Peace Keeping Operation in Cambodia a UN spokesman has said.
He is scheduled to arrive in India on April 21 on a three-day visit.
This will be his first high level contact with the Asian leaders since he took over as the chief executive of the world body on January 1.
Ghali leaves on Sunday for Geneva where he would meet the undersecretary general for humanitarian affair Jan Eliasson .
