BATHINDA: Militants associated with four organizations working under the command of Dr. Sohan Singh and others carried out a “search operation” at Rureke Kalan village in this district on March 22. Their suspicion was that certain “suspected persons” were staying in some houses. In the course of the operation two suspected men tried to run away and they were followed by militants but according to a militant release committed suicide. It was later discovered that they were policemen and their names were Baldev Singh Rukrekalan and Karamjit Singh Joga. They were said to be close associates of S.P. Kahion.
