Sir,

The Sikh community of New Orleans has asked me to convey their appreciation to WSN and S. Gian Singh Sandhu or the letter titled “Many flaws in secretary’s response” in reference to the human rights in India printed in WSN issue of April 31, 992. British Admiralty Pilots during World War II established the standard of good writing as “It should be intelligible to a tired man reading in bad light.” World Sikh News has always met this criterion at least from the Sikh point of view. Your services very important as news are the first rough draft of history.

A J. Liebling said “Freedom of the press is guaranteed only to those who own one.” WSN has made a great contribution to this type of freedom.

The idea of dedicating the WSN issue of April31992 to Dr-Birkis also highly appreciated No doubt the news was well presented. Re{erring to the news “Dr. Bisk vs. Uncle Sam “I believe that we both you as the editor and I as the re porter owe the following information to our readers:

Page 6 2nd columns it reads: [On Sept.51985 Hon. Judge Patrice E. Carr dismissed the case.) It should be: [Sept.51985 Hon Judge Patrick E. Carr dismissed the case.]

3rd column from line 20th i read: [The Lewisburg Authority was extremely pleased with his dedicated work as shown in Letter (1)]. Somehow Letter (1) was missing. Please print the letter (1) for the information of our readers. As far as possible please keep the original format of the letter.

4th column from line 12th reads :( Hon Judge Mc Huge said that he would set a bond for Dr-Birk on June 29, 1991]. It should be [Hon Judge McHugh said that he would set a bond for Dr. Birkon June 28, 1991.)

“The end of Page 6 and the beginning of page 7reads:[Gandhi said referring to the part of the reactor core]. It should be (Gandhi said referring to the partial meltdown of the reactor core).

Page 7 near the end of 1st column reads: (The defense side mailed approximately 150 letters 2A)and 2B) to various Senators and Congressmen] Leer 2A was printed on Page 6 under the title “How can defend” Letter 2B was printed on Page 7 under the title “No Terror court.”

On Page 7 near the end of 3rd column the letters referred to as 3A 3B and 3C were represented by the tides “Dr. Birks Offer.” “Offer rejected” and “No reasons for rejection” respectively. Thomas P. Adams (Dr. Birks attorney) sent copies of the letters 3A 3B and 3C— to the followings: Honorable Judge Kevin R. McHugh (Immigration Judge at Oakdale Louisiana) Nora Duncan (Trial Attomey at (Oakdale) Charles Jean (Deportation Officer at Oakdale) Gene Mc Nary (Commissioner INS Washington DC) R.
