LAKE ZURICH (IL): A 12 year old girl Navraaz Basati daughter of Thakar Basati won the gold medal in Soprano singing contest held at Lake Zurich Jr High School.
1600children of 16 grade schools from the Northwest suburbs of Illinois participated in various types of singing and musical contests.
This was the first time Navraaz participated in English singing competition; and has sung solely on many Punjabi stages competition was organized by Illinois grade school music Association.
