LUDHIANA: Two separate writ petitions were filed in the Supreme Court of India to produce Bhai Harpal Singh in the court on 23rd of March. Petitions are filed by well-known human rights organization citizens for democracy and S. Harjinder Singh father of Bhai Harpal Singh.
Bhai Harpal Singh was picked up by the Bombay CBI on February 2 1992 upon his arrival at the Bombay airport.
An known Attomey Mr. Rajan Diw vidi is on the record of case Bhai Harpal Singh and retired (Chief Justice of India Mr Tarkunde will argue on behalf of human rights organization citizen for democracy the organizations which did the commendable job in 1984 anti-Sikhs Delhi rots.
It is mentionable that Punjab Human Rights Organization has played a key role to pursue this case and request the citizens for democracy to intervene into the matter. PHROs unit in America is also keeping a close watch on the case and has already approached the Amnesty international.
It is also to mention the reasons to file the petitions in the highest court of India is because Punjab Police does not care about the orders of the Lower Courts.
Earlier Amnesity international spoke to DS. Gill the PHRO in Ludhiana who then sent telegrams to the Chief Minister of Maharasthra the Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India the home minister asking for information.
