Pound Dearer by Fifteen Paise: BOMBAY: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) here today announced downward revision of the rupee by 0.33 per cent in relation to the pound sterling, making the British unit costlier by fifteen paise,

The new middle rate now works out to Rs. 45.16 per sterling as against Rs, 45.01 previously.

The new selling and buying rates for spot delivery are 2.2086 and 202196 sterling per Rs. 100, core responding to Rs.45.27 and Rs. 45.05 per sterling perceptively. The rupee was up valued by 0.80 Per cent yesterday.
