AGARTALA: The 4 year old, Congress (I) coalition government in the state of Tripura ell Monday when its partner, the Tripura Upajati Jula Samity withdrew its support.
State Chief Minister, Sudhie Ranjan Majumdar gave his nation to state governor, K.D. Ragunath Reddy. Dissident Congress (I) leader, Radhiks Ranjan Gupta and Samir Ranjan Burman then met with governor Reddy and stated the claim to form a government,
The two said they had the support of 22 of 24 MLS and would be prepared to name a leader after their meeting on Tuesday. The meeting, held at the residence of party whip, Rasik Lal Ray was tended by ministers and MLAS who had been loyal to Chief Minister Majumder, although he did not attend.
