NEW DELHI (PTI): A multinational army expedition team from five countries was June 14 felicitated by the chief of the army staff, General S.F. Rodrigues, for successfully scaling mount Nilkanth, “Queen of Garhwal Himalayas.”

Friendly ties knit among the members from Indian, U.S., French, British and Italian armies should last long, and General Rodrigues said complimenting the team for its overwhelming success in putting 36 mountaineers atop the 21,640 feet summit.

“It is the hardest thing that [have ever done,” summed up the British members of the team ‘on their extraordinary achievement of scaling the “Queen” through dogged determination, indomitable spirit and perseverance.
