BOMBAY (PTI): Indian National carriers Indian airlines are to reintroduce point to point fares on selective routes with effect from June 15.

The point to point discounted facility enables a passenger to break journey at intermediate point of travel and is available to economy class passengers for travel within India only, release said here last week.

Of the total 37 point routes identified on the airlines network, 27 rules are connecting Bombay.

For example, on the Bombay Calcutta Guwahati route, the point to point fair would be Rs 3,835 as against the sector fare of Rs 4,192. Similarly, on the Bombay Hyderabad Visakhapatnam route the point to point fare is Rs 2,510, while the Sector fare is Rs 2,753, the release added.
