NEW DELHI: A 14yearold girl of Nanak Pura, who was allegedly Kidnapped and gang raped by four persons for over 50 days” in captivity in February March, has now alleged ill-treatment at the hands of CBI officials probing the case. The girl on July 12 said she had been slapped and abused by CBI officials in a room at the bureau’s headquarters in the CGO complex on July 8 evening. Her 50yearold mother has also alleged she ‘was abused and ill-treated.
The girl said she was taken into a room and was asked to change her charges. They asked me to change the number of rapists from four to two,” she said.
The four accused in this case are Ashok Pathaniva, Pram Nath, Raju and Vijay. The girl said the CBI officials wanted her to drop the names of Ashok and Pran, restricting her charges to Raju and Vijay only.
“When I insisted on naming all the four. I was abused by the officials. One of them slapped me on. The cheek and even tried to throttle me,” she has charged, they are also alleged to have taunted her asking her to marry one of the Suspected rapists.
The investigators are also alleged to have tried to force her to say she has accompanied the four suspects willingly. When she stood her ground, they abused her calling her illegitimate child, etc.
The CBI officials are also said to have asked her to identify a fifth person as Ashok Pathaniva. She, of course, refused saying she knows Pathaniva well. “I saw him every night of those 45 days in captivity,” she added.
The investigators are alleged to have not spared her widowed mother cither. Recounting one such slight, the mother said they had asked her to get off the chair and sit on the floor, and some unprintable abuses were thrown at her.
This ordeal is said to have occurred over four or five days, when the two were taken to the CBI office for recording statements.
