AMRITSAR: The panthic committee and its associate militant organizations have issued a bandh call for February 19 in Punjab” to frustrate the Brahmanism election stunt.”
Signed by Dr Sohan Singh Bhai Satinderpal Singh Bhai Daljt Singh Bhai Shahbaz Singh Bhai Harminder Singh Sultanwind Bhai Gurjant Singh Budhsinghwala Bhai Paramiit Singh Panjwad and Bhai Rachhpal Singh Chhandran the statement appealed to all Punjabis to make the bandh a complete success. All road and rail traffic should stop that day. The public should remain indoors and should offer prayers for the success of the Khalsa Panth. In this manner they should reaffirm their faith in the gurus historic mission of granting “sovereignty to the poor Sikhs so that they should remember our guru ship”. The Sikh sovereignty could be achieved only with the formation of a sovereign state of Khalistan for which the Sikhs offer daily ardas and the militants were struggling to achieve.
“The statement made a pointed reference to the panthic committee’s commitment to democracies and explained that the real democracy meant nothing but respecting the aspirations of the public. By boycotting the election the Sikhs are expressing their lack of faith in India’s constitution to which they were never a party. Describing the election as a gigantic stunt the committee said that the international community. This International community should realize that a fair and free election is a pipe-dream with the presence Of half a million Indian armed forces in Punjab more than 15000 Sikh youths in India’s jails and the enactment of such draconian laws as ADA and N.S.A. The aim (of the Indian state really is to continue the old practice of bribing certain leaders offering them fake power and making Sikhs fight Sikhs.
The committee noted that the Sikhs had been subjected 10 ex-Ploitation on religious political economic and cultural fronts for more than 40 years. This drama of deception reached its culmination on June3, 1984 when India’s Hindu government launched a full-scale aggression on Sri Akal Takhat Saheb at Amritsar and other historic shrines elsewhere with the help of heavy guns and tanks. The aim was to total annihilation of Sikhs. This was done by the clever and crooked Brahman after taking an oath of allegiance to the Indian Constitution. Under the same Constitution the current election stunt was being enacted. The Sikhs could not have any faith in this Constitution.
“The committee asked those who have opted for the election to reconsider their stand. The movement for Khalistan has reached a crucial phase The Sikhs armed struggle is in complete conformity with what has been ordained by the tenth master who justified the use of arms when other means to get justice failed.
“The Committee appealed to all citizens of Khalistan Muslims Hindus and Christians to love the land they live on and stand by Sikhs against the rulers of Delhi. One small step towards that the committee said was the boycott of lection. This was also a step towards panthic unity based on principles on which the committee has always been laying emphasis.
The committee once again reiterated its unswerving commitment to the April 29, 1988 statement proclaiming Khalistan as a solemn commitment made to guru Panth.
“Consequently we completely reject the Indian Constitution and all the political social and economic organs founded on it” it added.
The panthic committee associated with Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal in a statement last week also called for a Punjab bandh.
