CHANDIGARH: The Akali Dal (Kabul) on Monday deferred the decision regarding participation in pols in the wake of postponement of election notification by the government.
The party general secretary, Capt Kanwaljit Singh, told newsmen after the meeting of the seven member committee that the committee was of the unanimous view that sudden postponement of the notification had given rise to doubts about the sincerity of the government to hold elections in Punjab. Keeping in view the new development, the decision on the poll participation would be taken within the next few days.
