Jalandhar: The Bharatiya Janata Party High Command has authorized it sun it in the Northern Indian State of Punjab to explore the possibility of fielding common candidates in the state elections after carrying out seat adjustments with like-minded political parties including the Alkali.

A five member committee that met in Jalandhar in Punjab told a Press conference soon after that it had also authorized a Madan Mohan Mittal the Punjab unit president to set up a: state election committee: and seek applications from all the aspirants for assembly and Lok Sabha seats by Jan 15.
