PHAGWARA: Capt. Kanwaljit Singh, general secretary and spokesman of the Akali Dal (Kabul) has said that the Akali Dal could survive only by being active in democratic fields and thus could achieve its long cherished goal of political autonomy through democratic means.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday evening, he alleged that Pakistan, a strong section of Punjab police, the BJP and anti-Punjab lobby did not want polls in the state .
