LA HABRA HTS: A special Baisakhi Dewan was held at the beautifully lit IGS House on April 17,1993 from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm to mark the 294th Birthday of the Khalsa. A large number of Sikhs participated. The program started with recitation of Rehras Sahib – the evening path. This was followed by melodious Shabad Kirtans by Bhai Manmohan Singh and Family, Bhai Sahib Jecwan Singh Ji, Bhai Rajinder Singh (Jammu), IGS Kirtan Jathas lead by Sardarni Hameet Kaur and Sardarni Manject Kaur. Delicious food from Guru Ka Langar was prepared and served by Sardar Paramjit Singh and Family. God was thanked for keeping peace in Los Angeles (that was threatened due to Rodney King in case) and the well-being of all was sought in the Ardas. Evening program concluded with the serving of Dudh-Jalebis (hot milk and crisp Jalebis).
