NEW DELHI: Sikh grievances committee of the Dethi Sikhs at a protest meeting here last week passed resolution alleging that the conviction of Bhai Ranjit Singh in connection with the murder of Nirankari Chief Gur bachan Singh was made under political pressure and was murder of justice. The resolution further called upon the Indian government to release thousands of Sikh detainees languishing in Indian jails for a decade or so. The convention was attended by Parkash Singh Badal, Jagdev Singh Talwandi and others.
