CHANDIGARH: Tejwant Singh chief of Bhai Vir Singh Sahit Sadan has apologized to the Sikh panth for publishing Guru Granth Sahib in book form and releasing it at Vice President S.D. Sharma’s house and handing over a copy to Giani Zail Singh.
Ina statement the sadan chief said he had no intention of violating the Sikh tenets.
Earlier S.G.P.C. executive in a resolution had deplored the publication and said that Guru Granth Sahib was not released or “handed over” the executive asked the sadan to transfer all copies to the S.G.P.C
The executive meeting at Fategarh Sahib chaired by Gurcharan Singh Tohra also decided to collect figures Of Sikh youths killed and jailed both in Punjab and elsewhere in India The meeting criticized the army deployment in Punjab and said that bold measures not the army deployment was the answer to the Sikh problem.
