NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha (lower house of parliament) was adjourned sine die Friday night.

The house had 22 sittings, in which the major highlight was acceptance of recommendations of the general purposes committee on telecasting of question hour of the house proceedings, Patil said.

The speaker said that during the second session of the 10th Lok Sabha, as many as 12 bills were passed, These include the 74th constitution amendment bill and government of national capital territory bill paving the way for establishment of a legislative assembly in Delhi.

Other bills passed included MRTP amendment bill, family courts (amendment) bill and the Delhi high court (amendment) bill, he said.

Patil said the house also debated the economic situation and law and order situation in the country as also the Cauvery water dispute.
