CPM leader Harkishan Singh Surjit a pro Delhi politician from Punjab was elected general secretary of hardline Communist Party (Marxist) in place of E.M.S. Nam boodri pad who has retired. Sujit is known as an errand boy of Prime Minister House Surjit there announced his firm conviction in Indian unity and integrity.
