BHUBANESWAR (PTI): In a predawn swoop police May 7 took into custody over 40 government employees in eastern Orissa state in connection with the violent incidents on Thursday in which the chief minister, Biju Patnaik, chief secretary, Rabi Narayan Das, and others were manhandled. Meanwhile many leaders of the Orissa Karmachari Sangram Samiti (OKSS), spearheading the agitation against the state government’s decision as part of the austerity drive, have gone underground, the’ sources said.
