ABU DHABI: Zee TV, the Hindi language entertainment channel of Star TV, will extend round the clock services by October and plans further to include other areas and languages in their programs.
Ashok Kurien, partner in Zee TV, an India Hong Kong joint venture, said here that the channel launched in October last year, currently ran seven hour programs every day, the bulk of sure to reach out to expatriates from the subcontinent residing here.
Zee TV that has until now restricted itself to programs produced in India is planning to look beyond, Kurlen said. The channel has found viewers in Pakistan where it is currently negotiating to get entertainment programs. “We are also planning to become a participative channel for Gulf viewers, where the potential of earnings is good especially in the consumer electronic market,” he said.
