I would like to take this opportunity to wish the very best of luck and success to World Sikh News as it enters its Ninth Year of Service and this word has to be emphasized, ‘service’ 10 the Sikh Community. World Sikh News was born, as everyone is aware after the attack on Harmander Sahib, to give voice to the Sikh cause and to be a media by which the Sikh cause could be communicated effectively both to the Sikh Community and the American Community. World Sikh News at times against great odds, has been able to carry out its task effectively. Both Gurinder S. Grewal and Inderjit With the entire staff are to be congratulated.
As we enter into 1993, India has yet added another Chapter to its book of intolerances by the destruction of the Babri Masjid. It is important that newspapers such as World Sikh News receive full support of the entire community to ensure that the atrocities and human rights violations committed against the Sikhs and other minorities of India, be they be Muslims or dalits, can be exposed May the almighty bless this newspaper and all those associated with this great endeavor.
