Dear Editor: Kern County Sikhs greatly appreciate your efforts to exposing, injustice and cruelty done against our Sikh brothers in Punjab.
We wish for this paper to be highly successful and become the most popular paper read among Sikh communities throughout the world.
However, the news that “WSO Pledges Support to Panthic Committee” was well written but there ‘were some omissions. Particularly, about what I spoke at Yuba City. It was I who initiated a motion to pass resolution of Quit! Punjab! Quit! Khalistan. This was later on passed unanimously and with thunderous slogans of Sat Sri Akal.
Other points were also suggested like becoming a Sikh, as described in Guru Granth Sahib and extending for the support to young freedom fighters in India.
There was also a suggestion made for the freedom fighters asking them to ignore minor irritating ‘matters amongst various factions of Sikhs and continue to fight for the major goal that is a free Sikh Nation.
I did not find anything mentioned about my name in the published news. I would to check your publishing editorial board to give honest reports on such gatherings. Unless we do our work honestly, we cannot fight sincerely for justice and for our Sikh brothers.
God is above, He sees every truth. We must improve our honesty in our newspapers.
Gursharan Singh, M.D
*NOTE: Your resolution asking Indians to quit Khalistan was duly published. We, however,
