CHANDIGARAH, India: The Unified Akali Dal and Akali Dal (L) are locked in a fighting on a piece of land, allotted to Shromani Akali Dal by the administration of Union Territory, Chandigarh, some time back. A suit has been filed by Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, General Secretary of the Akali Dal, and former Chief Minister of Punjab, Mr. PS Badal that the plot measuring – 1244 yards in sector 28 allotted to Akali Dal belongs to them as according to him they were the only genuine representatives of the Shromani Akali Dal. They prayed for a permanent injunction against Akali Dal (L), restraining them from starting construction. Council for plaintiff Gurbinder Singh Dhillon claimed that his client being the real Akali Dal claimed to be the owner of the plot. Mean- while, Judge Mr. GS. Sewak issued a notice to the other party for Dec. 21. 1987.
