Khalsa ji,
Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa
Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh
The wind of freedom is blowing in Eastern Europe ushering in a new era. Finally the rulers have realized that they no longer can deny human rights to their people. It was at this altar of human rights: to preserve freedom of conscience that Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib laid down his life.
Let us all gather together on December 10, 1989, at Viers Mill Park, Kensington, MD and pay homage to the Martyr who sacrificed his life so that others may enjoy the freedom to practice their religion.
Guru Gobind Singh Foundation is also celebrating 41th anniversary of Declaration of Human Rights that day. What better way to celebrate than to pay tributes to the greatest protagonist of human rights Guru Tegh Bahadur ji.
We have invited representatives of various communities to share their experiences of struggle of human rights.
