CHANDIGARH: The Chief Minister of the Northern Indian state Haryana and prominent opposition Janata Dal leader Devi Lal escaped unhurt when his car was allegedly attacked by a group of ruling Congress (I) party workers I Bisha town of Patnan district in Gujarat Friday, officials here said, PTI reports
When the Chief Minister’s convoy was crossing the town, 15 to 20 youth shouting pro Congress (I) slogans pelted it with stones and brickbats.
While Lal escaped unhurt, the glass panes of the security car immediately behind the Chief Ministers were smashed, injuring the security personnel.
The Haryana government has taken up the security lapse with the Gujarat government, the officials: said.
