SRINAGER: Mohammad Shafi Bhat, ruling National Conference nominee from The Srinager constituency in Jammu and Kashmir was Thursday declared elected to the Parliament unopposed on the last day of withdrawal nominations, PTI reports.
The announcement was made by the deputy commissioner, who is also the returning officer of Srinager constituency, G.Q. Pardisi here Thursday.
The announcement said the independents Poshkar Nath Kool (Vakil) and Mohammad Ismail Khan who had filed their nominations from the constituency had withdrawn their papers Wednesday.
