NEW DELHI: Janata Dal president Vishwanath Pratap Singh said that he would visit Ayodhya on November 9 to help resolve the controversial Ramjanambhoom| Babri Masjid issue,

Even though he was asked by the Vishwa Hindu Panshad to keep off Ayodhya, Singh, in a Statement here, said “in consonance with the spirit of reconciliation, I will visit Ayodhya on November 9 to make, with the help of the residents, a last moment effort for an amicable solution.”

“Government ambivalence and silence are a glaring example of political and administrative opportunism, for which we have paid so dearly,” Singh said.

Singh charged that the Government had deliberately kept this issue alive” to play the emotional card at the time of the polls.”

“There is a deliberate design by the Congress to exploit the situation for political ends,” Singh added.

Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid in Ayodha is religious place which the hardliners of two com munities are fighting over.
