CHANDIGARH, India: Mr. Ram Jethmilani, an eminent jurist who is very critical to the rule of Rajiv Gandhi has launched the Punjab Unit of Bharat Mukti Morcha by appointing Mrs. Baljeet Kaur Gill as Conyenor. Mrs. Gill is said to be a close relation of Patiala ex-rulers.
Mr. Jethmilani told the newsmen that B.M.M, will soon emerge as political alternative to the misrule of Congress (I). According to him a parallel economy is being run in the country for the benefit of some people.
He said that B.M.M. will work for the uplift of the down-trodden and expose the corruption in the high circles. He also justified the demand of the minorities to claim protection for them. He opposed the separation of religion from Politics by law. According to him, this should be done through persuasion at political level.
He also denounced the fake police encounters which he termed as simple murder in the eyes of laws.
