CHANDIGARH, India: Gunmen gunned down four people and injured one while the security forces arrested seven freedom fighters in Punjab during the past 24 hours.
‘Armed persons travelling in a truck, opened indiscriminate firing at Rorian village in Hoshiarpur district, killing four persons and injuring one.
The Faridkot police arrested five freedom fighters. They were identified as Jaspal Singh alias Rachpal Singh alias Pappu, Amarjit Singh, Sukhcharan Singh, Jagir Singh and Boota Singh.
The Bhatinda police said one freedom fighters was arrested during Nakabandhi on the Malout Abohar road on Sunday. He has been identified as Bhajan Singh alias Maliat Singh.
The Ludhiana police has arrested Avtar Singh of Machpura Bazar for harboring freedom fighters.
