NEW DELHI, India, Dec. 12, Reuter: Sixteen people, including five children, were drowned as their boat capsized, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported today.

The boat, carrying 30 people returning from a village fair, sank yesterday near Dhom Dam in Maharashtra state, the news agency said.

Earlier, PTI said 23 people, including seven children, were feared drowned in the accident.
