Dear Editor,
The Sikh community all over the World should refuse to be presented under the Indian banner as the proud Sikhs did in New York parade.
‘No doubt that the Indian Government will find Sikh stooges like Mr. PS, Heyer to do their dirty work and if they cannot find Sikhs, don’t be surprised if some Hindus are disguised to impersonate as Sikhs.
Let us be wiser than the cunning and knaving foe, To participate under the Indian banner would be ‘an insult to those brave Sikhs who are locked up in Hindu jails and those who have laid down their lives for the freedom of Sikh religion. The Indian flag should be used as a door mat, if available free to wipe the bottom of the shoes.
I congratulate the World Sikh News for the coverage of the parade and the front page photo of Nishan Sahib with men and women proudly posing with the Sikh identity.
Sincerely,
Baljit Kaur Sarasota, Florida
Dear Editor:
It is a matter of joy and pride to see the Sikh National Flag displayed in its glory among the nations of the world at the first international parade of immigrants, Thanks to the efforts of all those who made it possible. These dedicated Sikhs have written history in a very special way. Representation of the Sikhs in a world body under a Sikh National Flag sends a strong message to Hindu. India that Sikhs will no longer accept Indian hood in a subordinate role as desired by the Hindu majority. Sikhs are capable of standing on their own. We don’t need anybody, least of all “India” to tell us how to conduct ourselves.
Who are these Hindus anyway to absorb us Sikhs in their Indian ‘identity? Sikhs are Khalistan is and we should not let the Indians indoctrinate us into anything else.
Sincerely,
Jaswant Singh
Dear Editor,
‘The Sikhs who participated in the first International Immigrants parade in New York have taken a bold step and have contributed to the struggle for freedom in a manner Which has far greater psychological implications than one can imagine, Sikhs have put themselves on the map as equal partners in this world, It is not long when the boundaries of a free Sikh nation will come into focus. After all how long can India hold on to the Sikhs by force. Sikhs are proud people who will never submit to the desires of India.
Yours sincerely,
Satwant S. Kohli San Jose, CA
