COBRA GOD REPLACES FACTORY BOSS
NEW DELHI, India: An engineering factory near the beach resort of Goa has been closed since August 28 because a venomous cobra occupies the boss’s office, the Press Trust of India reported.
Since snakes are worshipped by many Hindus, the manager and workers ran to a temple for advice and were told not to disturb the “cobra god”, PTI said.

One of India’s sacred cows fell into a manhole in New Delhi on Friday and bystanders fed the animal with mustard stew and gallons of water before firemen rescued it. Cows are worshiped by Hindus as mothers and many are seen grazing along the streets. The city rounds up hundreds of stray cows each year and owners are fined.
