NEW YORK: A meeting of concerned Citizens of India from U.S.A. and Canada was held at New York on Aug, 15th and 16th. A serious note was taken of: the progressivity worsening situation of human rights in India. After two days session the conference resolved to form group called Committee for Human Rights in India. It was resolved:
* To educate North Americans about human rights violations especially communal riots and state terrorism.
* To invite speakers of high profile from India who specialize in this field,
* To set up a resource center to monitor, collect and disseminate information.
* To start newsletter to counter government sponsored propaganda which is poisoning the
Relationship between Indian communities in North America.
